(Alliance News) - EssilorLuxottica SA on Wednesday said sales rose at a sound pace in the first quarter of 2025, despite an unsettled macroeconomic context.

The Paris-based owner of Ray-Ban reported revenue rose 8.1% to EUR6.85 billion in the first quarter compared with EUR6.34 billion a year prior, or by 7.3% at constant exchange rates.

All regions and businesses contributed to the "steady growth", the firm observed in a statement.

Europe, Middle East & Africa and Latin America led the growth at a high-single-digit pace followed by Asia-Pacific, while North America was flattish, the company said.

Ray-Ban, Oakley and Miu Miu continued to be the most sought-after frame brands, while Stellest and Nikon performed well on the lens side, the firm added.

Direct to Consumer revenue jumped 10% to EUR3.61 billion from EUR3.26 billion a year ago, with comparable store sales up 8% with a strong contribution from all regions.

In e-commerce, Ray-Ban.com was the top website boosted by the success of Ray-Ban Meta, followed by Oakley.com and LensCrafters.com.

By region, North America revenue rose 4.2%, EMEA revenue climbed 9.9%, Asia-Pacific by 10% and

Latin America by 9.2% compared to the first quarter of 2024.
