G20 finance ministers reach joint statement on key economic issues

(Alliance News) - The finance ministers of the Group of 20, G20, developing and developed countries have agreed on a joint final statement at their meeting in the South African city of Durban for the first time since US President Donald Trump took office for his second term.
The document, published on Friday by the South African presidency, agrees on key challenges for the global economy.
These include ongoing wars and conflicts, trade disputes, disruptions to global supply chains, high levels of debt and natural disasters, which the document says are affecting economic growth, financial stability and price stability.
The G20 finance ministers have met several times since the beginning of the year, but have been unable to agree on a joint statement at previous summits.
The G20 summit of heads of state and government is scheduled to take place in the South African metropolis of Johannesburg. The group includes 19 countries, the EU and the African Union.
